The Objectives of the society are

To foster the science of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology for the benefit of animal health and production.

To promote acquisition, dissemination and utilization of knowledge in the discipline of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology through conferences, seminars/symposium workshops.

To act as an Advisory Body to the Government of India with respect to formulation of rules and regulations for Veterinary Drug Development, Safety Evaluation, Residue Monitoring etc.

To associate with other Societies/Associations with similar objectives within and outside the country.

To do all other things as the society may from time to time consider necessary, incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above mentioned aims and objects.
